Oral glucose tolerance test as a tool for patient improvement after percutaneous coronary intervention.

Sra.

Introdution: Ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) remains one of the most complex and unresolved aspects of ischemic heart disease that the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on improvement of intensity of ischemic mitral regurgitation is not well clarified. Patients with coronary artery diseases and ischemic mitral regurgitation have a worse prognosis than the patients with coro...
Background: Despite recent improvement in coronary intervention, there are many controversies about it’s results in diabetic patients. The goal of this study is comparison of in hospital outcome of diabetics after coronary intervention with nondiabetics. Methods: In this study 115 diabetic and 115non diabetic patients who admitted for coronary intervention in our center during 1383;84 were en...
Enhanced secretion of insulin plays a role in the development of atherosclerosis and restenosis of coronary arteries: elective percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty in patients with effort angina.
OBJECTIVES We investigated the relation between insulin and coronary atherosclerosis and restenosis of the coronary arteries, by performing elective percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). BACKGROUND Insulin is known to promote atherosclerosis of the arteries and has been implicated in the development of restenosis after PTCA. METHODS Of 210 angina patients who underwent PTCA...
Newly impaired glucose metabolism and prognosis after percutaneous revascularization.
BACKGROUND Clinical practice guidelines recommend ad hoc screening of diabetes in patients admitted for macrovascular disease; however, these recommendations are rarely followed in real practice. This study was undertaken to assess whether impaired glucose metabolism, newly diagnosed after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or known diabetes, provides prognostic information. METHODS We ...
Effect of Exercise Training on Heart Rate Variability in Patients with Heart Failure After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Background: This study aims to evaluate the effect of exercise training on heart rate variability (HRV) and to determine the correlation between parameters of HRV and the ejection fraction in patients with heart failure after percutaneous coronary intervention.Material and Methods: Fifty patients with left ventricular ejection fraction ≤ 40% undergone percutaneous coronary intervention were r...
